The Rubber Hits the Road
Last March, we hosted a sold-out event to discuss the significant opportunities presented through New York’s Medicaid 1115 Waiver. Since then, Governor Kathy Hochul announced that nine organizations would receive a total of $500 million in awards over the next three years to create a new Social Care Network (SCN) program in New York State and CMS has provided more information on the financial model for the AHEAD global budget program which will be coordinated with the NY Waiver’s Medicaid global budget program.
Now is when “the rubber hits the road,” as the new SCNs and downstate New York safety net hospitals prepare to operationalize these programs along with health plans, IPAs, medical groups, CBOs and others.
Our panelists discussed what’s happening on the ground today, what’s coming and key barriers and opportunities to watch for in the next three years as HRSN, SCNs and Global Budget rollout.
